I got news for you, peeps! Your Christmas trees might be up already but it's still Fall. And it will be Fall until about three days before said Christmas arrives.
It's too soon to ditch the pumpkin. In fact, its the perfect time to think of creative ways to use all the cans you thought you were going to use for pies on Thanksgiving and make something worth eating. I really dig pumpkin bread pudding and pumpkin chili this time of year, but but recently got creative with an autumn smoothie.
Yup, a cold smoothie. Temps are dropping but it's always time for a cold smoothie, or smoothie bowl. You might need a blanket for this one.
Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Bowls
serves two
The Base
- 2 frozen bananas
- 7 oz of pureed pumpkin
- 1 tsp all-spice
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 cup of almond milk
The Top
- granola (I love Purely Elizabeth)
- chia seeds
- coconut flakes
